As Mayor I am so excited that Lostwithiel Town Council has been awarded this CLUP money. It will enable us to re-open two Listed Buildings which have been closed for many years. We can restore life to them with a new sense of purpose and this simply would not have been possible without the CLUP funding. The uses we have planned will help maintain and revitalise the economy of our established town centre and provide local people, visitors and tourists with an opportunity to further immerse themselves in the heritage of our medieval town.

Lostwithiel Town Council Buildings Public Engagement Event Thursday 12th December 2024 5pm - 8pm Mayors Parlour, Edgcumbe House The consultation will cover options regarding the future use and development of Edgcumbe House, Taprell House & the Guildhall in the heart of Lostwithiel. It is part of a feasibility study commissioned by the Town Council to develop a strategy for the long term future of these buildings.

After a very successful Dickensian evening, we would like to thank everyone who attended our public consultation in the Mayors Parlour. After listening to the views of the public, it seems apparent that a hot desking facility will be beneficial to many members of our community who usually work from home. The Council intends to provide a hot desk room & small meeting room when Edgcumbe House re-opens early next year, desks and other furniture are already on order!! So, keep an eye out on our website and Facebook page for details.
